  2. The promotion commences at the start of the visitor season on 1 July and closes on 30 June the following year, or as otherwise stated in the survey information (the ‘promotional period’).
  3. To enter, eligible respondents must complete and submit the visitor survey as specified within the promotional period.
  1. Entry is only open to ‘eligible respondents’, being individuals who:
    1. visit the location specified in the survey within the promotional period

    3. are aged 18 years or older
    4. are not employees of the Department of Conservation

  2. The promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of the entry and eligible respondent (including a respondent's identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any respondent who submits a response that is not in accordance with these terms and conditions of entry. Failure by the promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
  3. The prize draw will take place at the end of the promotional period. The winner will be notified within 10 working days of the draw via the contact details he/she/they provides in their survey response.
  4. The first valid entry drawn at random will win the prize specified. The winner is responsible for any tax associated with the prize.
  5. The prizes are not transferable or exchangeable. No responsibility is accepted for late, lost, misdirected or illegible entries.
  6. The promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  7. If, after 10 working days following the promoter attempting to contact the winner at the contact details provided, the promoter has been unable to make contact with the winner, that winner will automatically forfeit the prize, and the promoter will randomly select one further entry who will be contacted by the promoter and will be the winner of the prize.
  8. The winner permits the Department of Conservation and their affiliates to use the winner’s name and personal information for advertising and promotional purposes, without any compensation.
  9. All personal details of the respondents will be stored securely at the office of the promoter and used to operate and administer the prize draw. A request to access, update or correct any personal information should be directed to the pomoter.
  10. The promoter is the Department of Conservation. Email: socialscience@doc.govt.nz.
  11. The promoter reserves the right to amend or modify these terms and conditions of entry at any time.
  12. The promoter will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or sustained as a consequence of participation in the promotion or as a consequence of the use and enjoyment of the prize.
  13. The promotion is governed by New Zealand law and all respondents agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of New Zealand with respect to any claim or matter arising out of or in connection with this promotion.
