Volunteer activity

Tiritiri Matangi maintenance activities are a 7-day programme. Motuihe, Motuora, Kawau maintenance activities are 5 days. Kawau Island's gardening club lasts 1 day only.

 

You need to make a 17–18 day commitment for volunteering on Te Hauturu-o-Toi/Little Barrier Island.

Age requirements:

  • You have to be 18 years or older at the time of volunteering for all islands except Kawau Island.
  • For Kawau Island, you have to be 16 years or older at the time of volunteering. If you’re under 16 years old, you'll need an adult volunteer with you.
