Ridge Track

Located in Tongariro National Park and Whakapapa Village area in the Central North Island region

This walk rewards the effort of a short climb with panoramic views of Mt Ngauruhoe and the surrounding area.

After a short climb through low beech forest, the track emerges into alpine shrublands with panoramic views of Mt Ngauruhoe and the surrounding landscape.

The track begins 150 m above the Tongariro National Park Visitor Centre.
