How to book restricted hunting blocks
This is a shared recreational area
Hunters don't have exclusive recreational use of this block. While the booked hunting party will be the only hunters in the area, expect to see trampers, DOC staff or contractors and other non-hunting users at any time. Always identify your target beyond all doubt.

Access
Hunting blocks can be accessed by sea or air. You need to organise your own transport to and from the block. We recommend learning about transport options before you apply. Visit the Stewart Island website for more information.
Dogs
Dogs are not allowed as this block is within a national park.
Possum hunting
To trap possums on this block you need both a restricted hunting permit and a possum trapping permit. Get a possum trapping permit by emailing stewartisland@doc.govt.nz
