Apply to be a hut warden in the Tablelands based at Salisbury Lodge. Applications are open for the upcoming season. Fill in the application form and we will be in touch to determine available dates.

Dates

Camp hosts are required to host for 8 consecutive days (7 nights) from Tuesday to Tuesday.

Dates are actively being filled. Get in touch asap if you would like to assist this season (December – April) or let us know if you would like to go on the wait list for this or other sites. Once you apply we will send you a list of currently available dates.

Fitness

Volunteer activities span a range of fitness levels. The following is a general guide to help you indicate your preferred level of activity:

Fitness guide:

  • Low – you can easily walk up to 2 hours over flat ground
  • Medium – you can comfortably walk with a 5 kg pack up to 4 hours over uneven ground
  • High – you are capable of walking with a 10 kg pack up to 6 hours over uneven ground
  • Very High – you are experienced at walking consecutive days with a 10+ kg pack over steep, rough terrain
