Pursuant to section 5(5) of the Marine Mammals Protection Act 1978, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation to the Permissions Regulatory Delivery Manager, Stef Bowman, the Department of Conservation notifies that they have received a permit application from Puke Ariki Museum to “take” (possess) assorted marine mammal specimens donated by the public for display purposes for a proposed term of ten (10) years.
