A closed tender process will be run to select a lease-licence holder to undertake guided tours and maintain the underground tunnel structures of Stony Batter Historic Reserve on Waiheke Island.

The Minister of Conservation gave notice of his intention to run a closed tender process for a concession of the above land, under Section 17ZG(2)(a) of the Conservation Act 1987.

Pursuant to s17ZG(2)(a) of the Conservation Act 1987 a person must not apply to the Minister for a concession if the Minister has exercised a power under section 17ZG(2)(a).

Closed tender process

Selected participants are invited to submit proposals between Tuesday 10 December 2024 and Friday 28 February 2025. This closed tender is only open to invited participants.  

Following assessment of the proposals, one or more respondents may be invited to apply for a concession lease/licence within the Stony Battery Historic Reserve.
