The Minister of Conservation gives notice of intention to grant a concession under section 17Q of the Conservation Act 1987 to lease the site for Lake Lyndon Lodge at the southern end of Lake Lyndon for a period of 30 years, with an associated easement for road access.

Location of proposed activity: The footprint of Lake Lyndon Lodge (Community Buildings Reserve Lake Lyndon) and the associated access road (Lake Lyndon Marginal Strip).

Summary of proposal: Lake Lyndon Lodge and its ancillary structures are owned by the applicant. The applicant has applied to for a lease and easement to own, occupy and maintain Lake Lyndon Lodge for the purpose of providing accommodation to members of the public for a term of 30 years. No changes to the land, buildings, or current site activities are proposed.

Concession applied for:

  • Lease: To own, occupy and maintain Lake Lyndon Lodge and the ancillary building for the purpose of providing overnight accommodation.
  • Easement: The right of way for vehicles accessing Lake Lyndon Lodge via the access road.

This activity has previously been authorised by the Department for LER-032. It has now been Approved In Principle for 45604-ACC under the Conservation Act 1987.

Any person or organisation may make a submission in writing to the Director-General on the First Determination Report.
