A call is being made for nominations for the Nature Heritage Fund Committee. Nominations close on Monday 30 March 2020 at 5 pm.

The Minister of Conservation is seeking nominations for membership of the Nature Heritage Fund Committee.

The purpose of the Nature Heritage Fund is to protect indigenous ecosystems on private land achieved by purchase or protected land agreements. The Committee provides the Minister with independent advice regarding applications made to the Fund.

The Minister will be seeking to appoint members to the committee who will collectively have knowledge and experience relating to land tenure, knowledge of landscape planning and land systems, biodiversity and geodiversity, land management, funding mechanisms and sources, farming generally, forestry, kaitiakitanga, and nature conservation.

Appointments will be for a term of up to three years and members can again be appointed for a further term.
