Submissions closed 14 August 2020.

The concession for the current occupant will expire on 31 December 2022, and we're open to expressions of interest for future use of these facilities. We invite interested parties to submit their interest through our Expression of Interest ‘EOI’ process. Information gathered from the EOI will assist us to develop a process which best reflects public interest in this concession opportunity.

Interest in the Officers’ Mess building:

  • does not need to include the whole building
  • can only be for a restaurant or café activity within the Officers’ Mess building and any organised events associated with use of the building in the adjacent reserve
  • needs to make provision for the NZ Sculpture Onshore sculpture event. This event is held for a 2 to 3 week period in October or November every second year. Anyone with a lease of the Officers' Mess will not be able to user the building during this time.
