Summary of proposal
The proposed activity is the continued exclusive occupation and use of approximately 1.35 hectares of public conservation land within Waitetoko Scenic Reserve at Mission Bay, Lake Taupo for the purpose of operating an outdoor education facility.
The activity includes placement and use of permanent and temporary structures including a:
- confidence course;
- climbing wall/tower
- ropes course
- water slide
- wastewater disposal system
The activity also includes outdoor education instruction.

The Minister of Conservation has made no determination regarding the suitability of this proposed concession on public conservation land. This public notification should not be interpreted as an intention on the part of the Minister of Conservation to grant the proposed concession.
