The current concession for Morere Springs is coming to an end and DOC invites interested parties to submit their interest through our Expression of Interest ‘EOI’ process. Information gathered from the EOI will assist DOC to develop a process which best reflects public interest in the concession opportunity.
About Morere Springs
Morere Springs is located within the Morere Springs Scenic Reserve, on the East Coast, near Mahia Peninsula. Administered by DOC, the reserve is a highly treasured site for cultural and recreation purposes to iwi and the local community.
Morere Springs sits amongst the picturesque lowland rainforest which is home to a wide range of native trees, native birdlife and walking tracks which weave throughout the reserve. DOC wishes future concessionaires to increase enjoyment of the pools and public conservation land while also promoting the cultural importance and history of the reserve and local area.
How to submit
DOC invites all interested parties to register their interest and submit a brief outline explaining how they believe Morere Springs could be managed into the future.
