Pursuant to section 5 (5) of the Marine Mammals Protection Act 1978, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Operations Manager, Tauranga, Department of Conservation notifies that he has received a permit application from Joe’l Komene to hold marine mammal bone and teeth for the purpose of carving.

Submissions are part of a statutory process and may be commented on by the applicant.
