Summary of proposal

Canyonz Adventure company, who operate the full day Sleeping God canyon in the Kauaeranga Valley, propose relocating their current Canyonz equipment container currently in the Trestle View car park and adding another 40 foot modified container for an office space.

They envisage a deck arrangement to fit in between to avoid mud and soil movement and keep the grass areas looking good. This could eventually be under cover with picnic table to facilitate guests. They intend to position and arrange the containers to ‘fit’ with DOC permanent buildings.

Concession applied for

Canyonz Limited has requested a licence over the grassed area which will surround the footprint of the shipping containers and two car parks. The containers and parks however were requested under a lease as they require exclusive right.
