Have your say on the Minister of Conservation's intention to grant a National Park concession to Grand Properties Limited to construct, maintain and operate a 37 Unit Motel. Submissions closed 31 January 2018The Minister of Conservation gives notice of his intention to grant a National Park Lease year concession under section 50 of the National Parks Act 1980 to Grand Properties (2011) Limited to construct, maintain and operate a 37 unit motel, guest laundry, managers quarters, self-contained living quarters, reception and small grocer within Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park.
How to submit
Any person or organisation may object in writing to the Director-General against the proposal, or make written submissions on the proposal.

Submissions will be accepted up to and including 31 January 2018.
Once submitted, submitters' information is subject to the Official Information Act 1982 and may be released under that Act. If you wish to keep any part of your submission confidential, you need to state this in writing when making your submission.
Hearing
Any person or organisation wishing to be heard in support of his/her objection or submission, must request (in that objection/submission) an opportunity to appear before the Director-General.
If a hearing is required, it is likely to occur on the week starting 22 February 2018.
