Why invest in nature in New Zealand
Aotearoa New Zealand is home to species and ecosystems found nowhere else on Earth. Many are under pressure, with over 4,000 native species threatened or at risk of extinction and ecosystems declining at an unprecedented rate.
Your investment can help us tackle one of the most urgent conservation challenges of our time.
We know what works and can scale proven approaches to deliver lasting outcomes for nature.
This is an opportunity to leave a lasting legacy for nature on a global scale.

How it works

All donations to these projects are made through our trusted charitable partners, the New Zealand Nature Fund (NZNF) or the Mauri Ora Kākāpō Charitable Trust, who manage funds on behalf of DOC initiatives. When you donate, you will receive a charitable tax receipt as evidence of your philanthropic investment.
You are responsible for meeting Immigration New Zealand requirements and providing evidence of your investment. Under the Growth category, philanthropic donations can make up to 20 percent of your total investment.
