Motutapu at a glance
Motutapu, the low-lying neighbour of Rangitoto Island in the Hauraki Gulf, is a pest-free island boasting kiwi and takahe.
A 40 minute boat trip from Auckland, it is an ideal place for day visits or longer stays at the Home Bay campsite or by arrangement with the Motutapu Outdoor Education Camp.
