Changes to permissions fees
The fees we charge to process permissions applications are changing on 1 April 2026.

On 1 April 2026, our permissions fees will increase. These updates ensure our fees more accurately reflect the time and cost involved in managing applications, meaning more of DOC’s funding can go back into protecting nature.

Applications received from 1 April 2026 onwards will be charged using the updated fees.

You can see a comparison of the current and new fees below.

We will also update all permissions webpages on 1 April 2026, so the new fees are clear and easy to find.
