What's an RSS feed?

RSS stands for 'Rich Site Summary'. An RSS feed provides a list of what's new on a website and is used by an RSS reader. Not all websites have an RSS feed, and some feeds are only to a particular section of the website.

We currently offer an RSS feed to our media releases section.

How do I use it?

An RSS reader lets you see new content on mulitple websites if you are subscribed to their RSS feeds. This helps you keep track of the sites you are interested in, so you don't miss out on updates.

There are many free RSS readers available that you can download. Some browsers have a built-in RSS reader.

Once you have a reader, all you need to do is add the link to our RSS news feed (http://www.doc.govt.nz/news/rss-feed-to-govtnz/) and new media releases will appear in your reader.
