WHAT YOU
CAN DO
-
Wherever you live, and whatever you care about, there’s a community conservation group doing good things for nature near you.
-
You can choose how much and how often you want to be involved – from an extra pair of hands on a planting bee to regularly checking traps.
-
You don’t have to get physical to get involved. Community projects value a wide range of skills, from fundraising and event planning to spreading the word on social media.
-
There are heaps of opportunities to get involved. A good place to start is by searching for a group that’s active in your area.
HOW YOU'LL
MAKE A DIFFERENCE
All around New Zealand, people are planting trees, restoring native bush, trapping predators, protecting nesting birds, organising clean-ups, clearing weeds and much much more.
Community conservation projects are run by everyday Kiwis, including iwi, hunters, farmers and kids.
Teaming up with others to make a difference for nature is one of the most rewarding things you’ll ever do. You’ll see the results of your mahi, feel good and leave a lasting legacy.
