Summary

The conservation status of all known mosses in New Zealand was reassessed using the New Zealand Threat Classification System (NZTCS).

This report provides a list of these species, along with a statistical summary and brief notes on the most important changes since the previous assessment.

In total:

  • 36 species are Threatened
  • 156 species is At Risk
  • 285 species are Not Threatened
  • 5 species are Non-resident Native
  • 36 species are Data Deficient
  • 42 species are Introduced and Naturalised.
