The conservation status of all 21 native amphibian species in New Zealand was reassessed using the New Zealand Threat Classification System (NZTCS).
This report provides a list of these species, along with a statistical summary and brief notes on the most important changes since the previous assessment.
In total:
- 3 species are Extinct
- 5 species are Threatened
- 8 species are At Risk
- 4 species are Introduced and Naturalised
- 1 species is Data Deficient.
