An ecological investigation of the estuaries, intertidal and shallow subtidal environment along the Abel Tasman National Park was carried out between October 1990 and July 1991. Intertidal and subtidal habitat and substrate types were mapped, and macroalgae, invertebrate, fish and bird data discussed.
