Survey of New Zealanders 2014
Find out about New Zealanders' attitudes toward conservation and the Department of Conservation, and their recreation activities on public conservation land, as surveyed in 2014.

In 2014, 4,623 New Zealanders aged 18 years and over participated in a survey about their engagement with conservation, their views about DOC and its work, and their use of public conservation lands and waters, including historic sites.

Participants had the option to complete the questionnaire online or on paper submitted in the post. The survey results and methodology are presented in the reports below.
