A conservation management strategy is a statutory document which implements general policies and establishes objectives for the integrated management of natural (including land and species) and historic resources.

This is the Conservation Management Strategy for the East Coast region.

The purpose of this CMS is to set out the management directions for the Department in the East Coast region. It has been prepared in accordance with Part IIIA of the Conservation Act 1987.

The East Coast Conservation Management Strategy is operative but under review.
