Discount policy for recreational facilities

The discount policy for recreational facilities encourages engagement with nature and heritage, and rewards contributions to recreation and conservation.

This policy takes effect from 1 July 2024

Existing organisation discounts expire on 30 June 2024 and will not apply for stays from 1 July 2024 onwards. 

Organisations which are currently entitled to discounts have been advised of the change, and will need to reapply under the new policy to be considered for future discounts.

Publication information

This policy provides for discounts at DOC facilities as an incentive for people to engage with nature and heritage, and as a reward for organisations who help DOC with our conservation and recreation work.

The incentives are aimed primarily at:

  • children
  • youth
  • adult Community Services Card holders.

For groups and organisations that help DOC reward discounts can be accessed through an application process.
