One NZ
DOC partners with One NZ to bring mobile services and industry-leading technology to the frontline of conservation.

One NZ joined DOC’s national partner whānau in August 2025.

The partnership will redirect an estimated $14m in savings and value over six years to support and protect nature.

A new connection that helps us work safer and smarter

One NZ’s satellite-powered mobile services will give DOC staff increased coverage in the field, new ways to connect in remote areas, and consolidate multiple devices into a single handy device – a ranger’s mobile phone.

This satellite connectivity will also unlock new tools that will help DOC work smarter and achieve more for nature, including:

  • satellite and technology pilots to enhance DOC staff safety, data collection and decision-making on conservation land
  • satellite-connected field tools to enable remote teams to collect data, track species, and stay connected from anywhere
  • sensor systems that can trigger alerts and reduce the need for costly, time-consuming trips into the field.
