Summary
Many people come to South Westland to walk the Copland Track - a popular overnight return trip for visitors. It affords glimpses of Westland's spectacular scenery and the hot pools at Welcome Flat are a natural attraction. The track is susceptible to flooding in parts so for safety's sake check at the nearest DOC office for the latest conditions. A good level of fitness and back country experience is required.
