This brochure describes the sections of the Timber Trail that are currently open and features a map of their location.

Summary

The Timber Trail is a new 80 km cycleway between Pureora and Ongarue, within an easy 1-2 hr drive from Hamilton, Rotorua and Taupo.

With much of the 2-3 day route in the Pureora Forest Park, it passes through bush covered hills and across deep gorges.

The Timber Trail is due to be fully completed in 2012, and will provide a family-friendly cycling adventure on easy gradients and surfaces.
