Summary

Peel Forest Park Scenic Reserve

The reserve is the largest in the Geraldine area, covering 783 hectares around Little Mt Peel/Huatekerekere. It is 22 km north of the mid-Canterbury town Geraldine.

There are a variety of tracks from a short 30-minute walk past large forest trees, to a 2-3 hour ascent of Little Mt. Peel/Huatekerekere.

Mt Peel Waikari Hills Conservation Area

The area includes Middle Mt Peel and the eastern catchment slopes down to Lynn Stream, as well as Coal Hill and the range to the south and east.
