Wanaka Roar permit system: survey 2010
Published:
June 2010
This report presents the findings of a survey of hunters who had applied for Wanaka area 'Roar' permits for the 2009 and 2010 season (23 March- 20 April).
The main purpose of the survey was to look at the efficiency of, and to gauge satisfaction with, the current Roar permit system. The survey also provides a snapshot of the demographics and characteristics of Roar hunters in the Wanaka region.
The results from the survey will be used to guide the management of the Roar permit system, and more broadly to inform decision making around recreational hunting opportunities in the area.
