Summary
The Department is reviewing the current conservation management strategy, which was approved in 1997, and preparing the first management plan for Rakiura National Park.
Feedback forms were returned in January 2007 and the results have been summarised. The public feedback identified Ulva Island as a key place and the department is keen to dicuss community outcomes for the island's future. Meetings will be held in May with one being accessible on the internet using video conferencing technology. More information is available in the regular newsletters.
