The factsheet explains how plants found nowhere else have developed on the Chatham Islands as a result of its isolation; describes the affinities with other regions of plants that have colonised in the Chathams; and outlines the impact of the environment on plant life. It includes examples of the many plants that have been introduced to the Chathams, and explains how enhanced conservation management in recent years, is resulting in an increasing quality of natural habitat.
