The key outcomes in this Statement of Intent have been developed to give effect to the legislation governing the Department and the international conventions to which New Zealand is a signatory. There are a variety of statutory and non-statutory strategies, policies and plans that both inform the Statement of Intent and set out in more detail how the key outcomes will be implemented.
