Coal Creek Falls

The path gently descends down to the Coal Creek valley though a mixed beech-podocarp forest. .

The pool below the falls is a nice place to cool off with a swim in the hot summer months. However, take particular care to look out for underwater rocks and logs before jumping in.

Getting there

From Greymouth follow SH6 to Runanga, turn right down Seddon Street and right into Ballance Street. There is a carpark at the end of Ballance Street.
