An aerial 1080 drop is planned for the whole of Egmont National Park during the next prolonged fine weather period between September and November 2009. Please check with North Egmont Visitor Centre if planning a tramping trip in the park during this period.

Around the Mountain Circuit

The Around the Mountain Circuit (AMC) offers you spectacular bush and alpine scenery. The challenging multi day route requires good fitness and tramping experience. The route is best tramped from October - April and is traditionally walked anticlockwise.

Moki Track

The track was developed with wheelbarrows, picks and shovels as early as 1910. Both ends of the track pass through some 3 km of farmland before entering the forest, which contains good stands of tawa, kamahi and rimu.
