Description

Maungakawa Road track

An easily graded walking track from the park leads through the Reserve to Maungakawa Road and takes about 40 minutes.

Maungakawa Loop track

The track starts above the memorial clearing and while uneven in places, is a pleasant walk. Take the right hand side track to return back to the clearing. The walk takes 20 minutes.

There is a picnic area in Gudex Memorial Park with a water supply, tables, fireplaces, car parking and toilets.

Getting there

Maungakawa Scenic Reserve is 9 km and approximately 15 minutes drive from Cambridge.

There is plenty of room for running around and picnicking adjacent to the Gudex Memorial Park.

Please note: Dogs are prohibited on all Waikato area tracks expcete for certified guide dogs and permitted hunting dogs.
