Stewart Island/Rakiura area

Stewart Island/Rakiura is New Zealand’s third largest island and home to its most southern national park. Lying to the south of the South Island, it is a one-hour ferry ride from Bluff or 20 minutes by plane from Invercargill. There are tracks here to suit everyone from short day walks to multi-day adventures.
