5 - 6 hr Skippers Saddle to Coronet Peak Rd (walking)

Description

The track crosses a mixture of conservation/private land. The track begins gently in tussock grassland, becoming steeper towards the saddle, with great views of the Wakatipu Basin.

Beyond the saddle the track goes through bluffs then into Devils Creek and stands of grey shrublands.

Track description

Steep up to Mt Dewar, desend to Devil's Creek. The climb out of Devil's Creek is steep and technical.

This is a shared-use track. Follow the mountain bikers code: respect others, respect the rules, respect the track.
