Description
This is a bush track that can be walked in either direction: Hall Road, Sawyers Bay, or Mount Cargill Road. From Hall Road the track climbs steadily through native bush with, in places, good views of both Otago Harbour and Otago Peninsula. In wet conditions, rocky sections of the track can be slippery. The top section is steep with a staircase that brings you out onto Mount Cargill Road.
Further along Mount Cargill Road is the start of the DCC's Organ Pipes Track which leads on to the Summint of Mount cargill and the Sir A.H. Reed Track.
Getting there
The track can start/finish from either end: from Mount Cargill Road or turn off the Dunedin-Port Chalmers Road at Sawyers Bay onto Hall Road. Both starting points are signposted.
