Getting there

The track is signposted off Russell Road, 16 km south-east from Russell.

Description

This loop walk passes through mixed kauri / podocarp forest. Ngaiotonga Forest features stunning native bush and majestic Kauri trees. Walk beneath the canopy of these large trees and feel the ancient and primeval feel of yesteryear. Many plants and trees are labelled for identification.

  • Walking shoes or light tramping/hiking boots required
