A loop track leads to a small beach in the Te Puna Inlet and to a pa site on Tareha Point with spectacular views.

Two beaches nearby provide perfect opportunities for swimming and relaxing.

This track equates to approximately 2,400 steps.

Getting there

The track begins at Opito Bay, 13 km from Kerikeri. A sign near the boat ramp marks the access way, which leads between houses and enters the Akeake Historic Reserve.

Plan and prepare

You will encounter steep cliffs along the walk. Please take care and supervise young children.

No dogs or fires due to risks to wildlife.
