Kaitaia area

Cape Reinga Coastal Walkway. Track upgrade work 31 January - 31 March 2012. The track is open but if you approach an area where contractors are working please make your presence known.

Kauri Coast

Arai te Uru Heritage Walk. the walk is closed 13 - 27 Febraury 2012. Contractors Downer NZ Ltd will complete construction works that include grading and shaping of the access road and filling of the carpark and picnic area.

Mount Tutamoe Track. Track closed until further notice due to logging operations.

Waiotemarama Waterfall Loop Walk. Track closed until further notice due to a slip

Whangarei area

Peach Cove Track. The track and carpark (Bream Head) are closed for maintenance 23 - 27 January 2012.

Brynderwyn Hills Walk. Forestry contractors working on the track - Cove Rd to Cullen closed every day, Cullen to Artillery Rd is closed all days except Sunday.
