Beech forest dominates much of the Rimutaka ranges. Find out more about the plant life you'll find in the Rimutaka Forest Park.
Relocated kiwi live alongside native bellbirds, tui, kaka, kereru and ruru. Deer, goats, pigs and possums are also present. These can be hunted in much of the park.
