Whitireia Park
Whitireia Park, in Porirua city, is a headland with commanding views over Mana Island, Porirua Harbour and its environs. The park comprises around 180 hectares of predominantly open space grasslands with a remnant patch of native bush. It provides a unique opportunity for people to undertake a variety of leisure activities, such as walking, mountain biking and fishing.
Whitireia Park is steeped in Maori history, has many important geological features, and provides good habitat for many water birds.
Walking, mountain biking, fishing, snorkelling, diving and picnicking are activities you can enjoy at Whitireia Park.
