Te Whanganui-a-Hei Marine Reserve
A great place for diving and snorkelling, the reserve features sponge gardens and an array of marine life that depend on the reefs. Hahei and Cathedral Cove beaches are safe swimming beaches.
There are many recreational opportunities and places of interest to visit in the area. You can enjoy snorkelling, diving, boating and walking scenic tracks.
There are no places to stay at Te Whanganui-A-Hei (Cathedral Cove) Marine Reserve but there is a range of accommodation available nearby at Hahei or at Whitianga.
