Climb The Pinnacles for panoramic views of the southern Coromandel, or visit a replica model dam like those used in the days of kauri logging.
Horse riding, mountain biking, abseiling, walking, tramping, camping, fishing, swimming and hunting are the types of recreational opportunities available in Coromandel Forest Park.
You can stay at Pinnacles Hut in the upper Kauaeranga Valley. There are also eight campgrounds next to the Kauaeranga River to choose from as well as some remote campsites.
How to get there. To ensure you have a good experience, please learn the rules and regulations of the DOC areas you plan to visit.
