Mavora Lakes Park is an impressive landscape of mountains, lakes, forest and tussock grassland, recognised as part of the Te Wāhipounamu/South-West New Zealand World Heritage Area.

It is a popular camping area during summer with opportunities for trout fishing, water sports, horse trekking, tramping and mountain biking.

The Mavora-Greenstone Walkway is a four day tramping trip through open valley tussock land and beech forested hill country.

Location

The Mavora Lakes are located on State Highway 94 between Mossburn and Te Anau.
