There is a wide range of tracks and roads in the park, variously suitable for walking, tramping, mountain biking, hunting access, horse riding and back country 4WD.

Alert

The park's 4WD tracks are open to vehicles between Labour weekend and 30 April. Oteake is subject to flooding and snow fall events. Please check the tracks are open by contacting the local DOC Area Office before setting off on your trip.

Tailings and Ida Railway Hut have a shared use arrangement with lease holders. Please contact the local DOC office to check their availability.
