Hunting

Hunting is permitted on the following basis:

  • A permit is required to hunt in the Tangihua Conservation Area
  • For the safety of other users, no hunting is permitted within the lower Pikiwahine Stream and within 300 metres of the Horokaka transmitter
  • Some boundaries are unfenced, so ensure you do not go onto private property without prior permission
  • Dogs are strictly prohibited on the access road and within the forest unless by special permit
